GAME DAY REFLECTIONS
SUBJECT: GAMES IN EVERYDAY LIFE
SAMANTHA JO

I think it is great that video games can be a family thing now. It is good that parents are more accepting of their kids playing games and that they actually join in when they see their kids playing. It is that kind of interaction that supports healthy parent child relationships. And since that’s happening, the video game industry understands this and now making more games that the whole family can play at once. The gaming industry is also taking classic board games and putting them on a gaming system to make it easier and fast for the family game nights to proceed. I mean seriously my grandma plays certain games with me that she remembers from her younger years. She even plays new ones that have some blood and gore. It is also really cool how video games can be used for educational purposes. Just look at what were going to be doing today. Were going to be playing games but at the same time learning about how the game works and what not. It is a common profession of this lab to go into game design and I am glad that a game day can help those wannabe gamers in their future trackings. I think simulation games are the best for learning. So games like simcity and the sims are great learning tools that teach us how the government works by building a city and the sims by learning basic human care and see what it takes to keep an household going. The fact that gaming industry is jumping on the education wave has brought out games like “Dr. Kawashima's Brain Age” that help you think more. It is proven that people that have played that game have had their test scores go up. That’s pretty sweet in my opinion. So basically games are good for the human race as long as we don’t sit around all day and play them, and then eat a lot. :]

i started the background and then found some pics on the web of band stickers to use on the door. itll be way easier than drawing them all out. i also helped fitzer with some wedding photos.
